Taking the Plunge without knowing how to swim...

Going into business for yourself is the goal or dream for many. We
would all like to give up our reliance on a j.o.b and the paycheck to
paycheck lifestyles.

BUT... when you make the decision to pursue your own business,
you make the decision to wear ALL the HATS. Suddenly you find
yourself responsible for aspects of your business, that you have no
experience or formal training in.

There are several reasons why 95% of online marketers fail. BUT
one very BIG reason is simply that 95% have not invested the time
to learn how to swim before they take the plunge.

Most of us remember to put sunscreen on, before we head for the
beach. Most of us remember to place a napkin in our laps as we sit
before the dinner table. Most take the time to study before
showing up for class to take a test.

So WHY do so many jump into the middle of an online business (of
any nature) without investing in some type of basic training first?

Training... basic computer skills, administrative, marketing and
sales training, customer service... Areas that almost anyone will
recognize as an area where training is "needed". Yet... training is
the most neglected, and the easiest to procrastinate on.

You go to work for Coca-Cola or McDonalds... you get training
FIRST. You go to work for yourself you get busy. BUSY trying to
learn from your mistakes; because you didn't get the necessary
training BEFORE getting busy.

A new business owner plunges into a new opportunity with the
enthusiasm of a child in a candy store, with $5 bucks in his hand. In
a few months... or even less; you are butting your head against
several walls. The neglected areas of your business begin to stack
into unsurmountable obstacles and "time drains". Your business
begins to unravel before your eyes. This is when most throw in the
towel and quit.

Training... Education... Preparation... EASY to put on the back
burner; yet the MOST regrettable oversight.

To add salt to the wound, this particular oversight cannot be
blamed on anyone but ourselves. We must each take
responsibility for investing in ourselves with proper training, and
thus for the lack of success in our business when we don't.

Hurts doesn't it?

Something so simple... so many uncecessary failures.

If you have been overlooking needed training in any area of your
business, I whole heartedly encourage you to STOP. Stop what you
are doing, identify your weak points and find the training you need
NOW. The internet is abundant with information and training on
any topic. INVEST in your self... take responsibility for your own
success.
